Ambition vs. Talent

Ambition:  ardent desire for rank, fame, or power; desire to achieve a particular end.

Talent:  natural endowments of a person; a special often athletic, creative, or artistic aptitude.

Is it one or the other, or both?  Try and remember back to what you were like as a little child or teenager.  Were you the one performing with a hairbrush microphone to the radio?  Did you gather your family members (or stuffed animals) so they could watch you sing and dance?  Are you a tireless performer by nature?  Then you probably have ambition, talent, or both.  If you have both, then you are off to an amazing start.

If you have more of one than the other, that doesn’t mean that your dreams of being a rock star are impossible.  They are very much within your reach.  Do you recall those infamous American Idol auditions?  They were a crystal clear example of people who have bottomless ambition with very little talent, talented singers with a neutral amount of drive, and the and the shining example of those who had amazing voices and were willing to put in the hard work to make it big. Don’t you want to maximize your potential?

Like these rising stars, you too can have both if you have the drive to cultivate both. , no doubt about it.  Working on your desire to achieve, and your aptitude for musicianship, is a multi-faceted and exciting process.  And remember: no one ever got to Carnagie Hall, Madison Square Garden, or Wembley Stadium without practice, practice, practice.

As hard as you will work, you shouldn’t have to do it alone.  If you want to get on the right path right away, you really need a mentor who can guide you in the right direction.  I will be there every step of the way to cultivate your talents and focus your ambition.  Do you want your dreams to become a reality? Do you want a widely recognized face in music?  I am the one who can help make your dreams of working in the music industry a reality!
